Allegra Ouroussoff Eifler is a New York City-based interior designer specializing in comfortable spaces that balance American optimism with European refinement. She launched her eponymous firm in 2018. Equally fluent in the language of both residential and commercial design, her work has included apartments and houses in New York City and the surrounding tri-state area, New England, Colorado and California, as well as a bagel shop in Austin, a restaurant on the Lower East Side, and a beer hall in Brooklyn. Allegra is currently working on several projects across the United States.
Allegra grew up in the historic neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights and frequently visited family in London and Turin—cities rich in history that helped develop her own sense of place early on. Later, as Global Director of Antiques and Vintage for Ralph Lauren, she traveled to the finest dealers around the world collecting everything from antique home objects to vintage jewelry, for the company’s stores.
Her early experiences with interior design included curating store displays in Hong Kong, Paris and Los Angeles, where she imbued a mix of styles, from pre-Georgian to mid-century, with a contemporary design sensibility. She honed her craft working for designers Katie Ridder and Timothy Whealon.
Over time, Allegra has developed a deep understanding of how the history of places and the stories of objects affect the spaces in which we live, work and play. It’s a resource she offers every client to help them translate their hopes and create a sense of place that is unique to them.
In 2023, Allegra O. Eifler Design was named to Frederic Magazine’s “It List”, as one of “13 talented designers from around the world who are ushering in a new era of style leadership.”
